Contract Attorney

Junior to Mid-Level | Flexible / Project-Based Compensation | Remote or NYC

Pacific Street Law is a growing, technology-forward law firm working with startups, founders, investors, and established companies across a wide range of legal matters. We are looking for exceptional junior and mid-level attorneys to work with us on a flexible, project basis, with the potential for significant recurring work and a larger role as the firm continues to grow. Pacific Street was founded by a Harvard Law graduate, former New York State senior government official, who has worked extensively at the intersection of AI and law.

At Pacific Street, we use AI, proprietary workflows, and other technology as a core part of how work gets produced for our dozens of clients, while lawyers remain responsible for the judgment, strategy, and quality that clients actually need.

The Role

Contract attorneys will work directly with clients and senior lawyers on substantive matters, including:

• Contracts and corporate/startup matters
• Demand letters, complaints, and litigation
• Regulatory and consumer protection matters
• Employment matters
• Voting rights and election law matters

We believe a lawyer’s judgment is their most valuable asset. Our model gives lawyers meaningful control over the projects they take on, their workload, and their schedules, while providing the opportunity to do sophisticated work for high-quality clients.

We are looking for lawyers who can take ownership of an assignment, use technology intelligently to work efficiently, and deliver excellent, client-ready work product.

Who We're Looking For

• 2–8 years of legal experience preferred
• Experience at a law firm, government office, in-house legal department, clerkship, or similarly rigorous legal environment preferred
• Excellent writing, analytical skills, and judgment
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of matters
• Interest in using AI and modern technology to practice law more efficiently
• Admission and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

The arrangement is flexible and project-based, with compensation based on experience. We have work starting today and are looking to hire contract attorneys on a rapid and rolling basis.
